During my sophomore year at MIT, I made a life-changing decision. Until then, my focus was on math and science in the pursuit of a chemical engineering degree. My 'hobby' of art and design continued through freelance opportunities, internships, and independent study. Instead of sticking to what family, teachers, and friends called a 'stable career path', I decided to pursue my passion by making the switch to Architecture, with a focus in Visual Arts. I had little sleep most nights and weekends due to long hours in darkroom, the design studios, the 3D design labs, and on video editing machines... but was never happier with the decision.
Born in New York in 1978, and I began drawing cartoons at the age of 3. I attribute that initial love of art to my favorite childhood cartoon character, Snoopy, and creator, Charles Schulz. My advice: "If you have a passion for something, pursue it, through the ups and especially through its inevitable downs. It's cliché, but in the long run, you will be happier for it."
I currently reside in Hoboken, NJ with my fiancée.
While in high school, I developed an interest in web design, and continued learning about the field through elective classes when starting MIT. To support myself, I took on many different school jobs, as well as beginning a freelance business. Upon graduating in 2000, I was pursued by an online marketing and design company, Oven Digital (now defunct), and joined them as Project Manager, leading a design and technical team while being a client liaison.
4Slice became a spin-off business once Oven closed, and I continued on in roles as project manager, lead designer, and site builder. Some of major sites I have designed and/or built include Intellicast.com, as well as Diet.com (currently). I continue to take on independent projects, typically involving online branding, web site design and build, search engine optimization, along with my photography.

Candid moments, fashion shows, landscape & architecture are all part of my range of subjects. When it comes to parties, weddings, and other events, I am a big fan of photojournalistic style, and having subjects unaware I am shooting.
When I lived in the Boston area, I focused a lot of his time on exploring the Boston city streets, parks, and attempt to take on new perspectives of very common locations. However, since New York is a major part of my life and background, I have moved back as of January 2008, and will explore a whole new set of opportunities.

Finally, as I continue to learn and develop my skill, I look to share my firsthand knowledge in my online photo and design tips journal and newsletter.
Although I've noticed it's typical for photographers to list their equipment, I'm a stern believer that the camera doesn't matter nearly as much as the eye behind it. Everything has its place, and all of these have served me very well over the years:
